Engineer for an Hour

This is your time to learn the job of the engineer and fireman as you spend an hour in the cab of steam locomotive #15 during a regular excursion train. You will get an opportunity to throw coal in the firebox, blow the whistle, and even pull the throttle. Ticket holders must sign a waiver and rule agreement. Engineer for an Hour is on a first come, first serve basis, and reservations are strongly encouraged as these slots are expected to fill up fast.

Rules and Guidelines

All individuals who are interested in being "An Engineer for an Hour" must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid drivers license. You are responsable for providing your own appropriate clothing (long pants, NO SHORTS, long sleeve shirt, hat, leather work gloves, work boots preferably with steel toes, and safety glasses). You will get greasy and dirty so choose old clothes. Persons must be at railroad by 9:00AM the morning the day of their trip regardless of what train you are scheduled to go over the rules and regulations with our instructor.
